Things have changed since I last wrote. The League dissolved as an "official" organization. We were tired of dealing with rabid Satanic theists. It got to be a chore and burden on everyone involved.

However, the membership has still stayed together. You can find us on our new site

I guess I forgot to let everyone know that I have purchased the Home of my dreams! Well, I am purchasing,as it will take many years to have the home paid off fully.
However it is a beatuiful home. It is also incredibly big, and it is in a beautiful neighborhood almost outside, if not completely outside the city limits.

I will take you on a quick literary tour of the home.

The Basement
The Basement has a Family Room with a Fire place.

A secret room hidden by a secret set of doors (yes this is infact very true) just ask Necrojon is you don't believe me...well...I don't care if you believe me or not..anyway.

A Small Bedroom.

A Full Kitchen that is fully furnished with all the appliances.

My Sight and Sound studio (My art Studio and my friend Bill's sound studio. Also where the pups sleep when we are gone) Which is technically A one car garage, but we also have a carport connected to the garage and we park our van there. So I have started painting again, and my friend bill is going to set up his equipment.

And the whole basement is the bottom of the three stories that make up my home. The basement also leads out into the huge backyard.
The Backyard is about a half acre, fully fenced in so my dogs can run like crazy all day.
It features a Pumpkin patch, and a Terraced set of gardens. It has a Japanese Maple tree, a Hickory tree and a Pear Tree. It has a herb garden that was overgrown with weeds to the point that there were very few herbs, so I fixed it up into a Lavender and Morning Glory garden.

This one is a pure gem. This was a cartoon accurately exposing the Mormon mythology about the origins of mankind.
Most people don't believe that Mormon's actually believe this, but rest assured, they do indeed!
This also explains the blatant racism that is within Mormonism, yes, they are incredibly racist. Or at least, the Mormon Theology is incredibly racist. Humans of African descent were denied admittance into the priesthood up until I think the 80's because of this theology. They were allowed into the priesthood due to outside pressure from the government, so the Mormon's changed how outsiders viewed their theology, just like they did with Polygamy so that Utah would be granted statehood.

Earth-like planet found orbiting nearby star!

WASHINGTON —

For the first time astronomers have discovered a planet outside our solar system that is potentially habitable, with Earth-like temperatures, a find researchers described Tuesday as a big step in the search for "life in the universe."

The planet is just the right size, might have water in liquid form, and in galactic terms is relatively nearby at 120 trillion miles away. But the star it closely orbits, known as a "red dwarf," is much smaller, dimmer and cooler than our sun.

There's still a lot that is unknown about the new planet, which could be deemed inhospitable to life once more is known about it. And it's worth noting that scientists' requirements for habitability count Mars in that category: a size relatively similar to Earth's with temperatures that would permit liquid water. However, this is the first outside our solar system that meets those standards.

"It's a significant step on the way to finding possible life in the universe," said University of Geneva astronomer Michel Mayor, one of 11 European scientists on the team that found the planet. "It's a nice discovery. We still have a lot of questions."

The results of the discovery have not been published but have been submitted to the journal Astronomy and Astrophysics.

Alan Boss, who works at the Carnegie Institution of Washington where a U.S. team of astronomers competed in the hunt for an Earth-like planet, called it "a major milestone in this business."

The planet was discovered by the European Southern Observatory's telescope in La Silla, Chile, which has a special instrument that splits light to find wobbles in different wave lengths. Those wobbles can reveal the existence of other worlds.

What they revealed is a planet circling the red dwarf star, Gliese 581. Red dwarfs are low-energy, tiny stars that give off dim red light and last longer than stars like our sun. Until a few years ago, astronomers didn't consider these stars as possible hosts of planets that might sustain life.

The discovery of the new planet, named 581 c, is sure to fuel studies of planets circling similar dim stars. About 80 percent of the stars near Earth are red dwarfs.

The new planet is about five times heavier than Earth. Its discoverers aren't certain if it is rocky like Earth or if its a frozen ice ball with liquid water on the surface. If it is rocky like Earth, which is what the prevailing theory proposes, it has a diameter about 1 1/2 times bigger than our planet. If it is an iceball, as Mayor suggests, it would be even bigger.

Based on theory, 581 c should have an atmosphere, but what's in that atmosphere is still a mystery and if it's too thick that could make the planet's surface temperature too hot, Mayor said.

However, the research team believes the average temperature to be somewhere between 32 and 104 degrees and that set off celebrations among astronomers.

Until now, all 220 planets astronomers have found outside our solar system have had the "Goldilocks problem." They've been too hot, too cold or just plain too big and gaseous, like uninhabitable Jupiter.

The new planet seems just right — or at least that's what scientists think.

"This could be very important," said NASA astrobiology expert Chris McKay, who was not part of the discovery team. "It doesn't mean there is life, but it means it's an Earth-like planet in terms of potential habitability."

Eventually astronomers will rack up discoveries of dozens, maybe even hundreds of planets considered habitable, the astronomers said. But this one — simply called "c" by its discoverers when they talk among themselves — will go down in cosmic history as No. 1.

Besides having the right temperature, the new planet is probably full of liquid water, hypothesizes Stephane Udry, the discovery team's lead author and another Geneva astronomer. But that is based on theory about how planets form, not on any evidence, he said.

"Liquid water is critical to life as we know it," co-author Xavier Delfosse of Grenoble University in France, said in a statement. "Because of its temperature and relative proximity, this planet will most probably be a very important target of the future space missions dedicated to the search for extraterrestrial life. On the treasure map of the Universe, one would be tempted to mark this planet with an X."

Other astronomers cautioned it's too early to tell whether there is water.

"You need more work to say it's got water or it doesn't have water," said retired NASA astronomer Steve Maran, press officer for the American Astronomical Society. "You wouldn't send a crew there assuming that when you get there, they'll have enough water to get back."

The new planet's star system is a mere 20.5 light years away, making Gliese 581 one of the 100 closest stars to Earth. It's so dim, you can't see it without a telescope, but it's somewhere in the constellation Libra, which is low in the southeastern sky during the midevening in the Northern Hemisphere.

"I expect there will be planets like Earth, but whether they have life is another question," said renowned astrophysicist Stephen Hawking in an interview with The Associated Press in Orlando. "We haven't been visited by little green men yet."

Before you book your extrastellar flight to 581 c, a few caveats about how alien that world probably is: Anyone sitting on the planet would get heavier quickly, and birthdays would add up fast since it orbits its star every 13 days.

Gravity is 1.6 times as strong as Earth's so a 150-pound person would feel like 240 pounds.

But oh, the view. The planet is 14 times closer to the star it orbits. Udry figures the red dwarf star would hang in the sky at a size 20 times larger than our moon. And it's likely, but still not known, that the planet doesn't rotate, so one side would always be sunlit and the other dark.

Distance is another problem. "We don't know how to get to those places in a human lifetime," Maran said.

Two teams of astronomers, one in Europe and one in the United States, have been racing to be the first to find a planet like 581 c outside the solar system.

The European team looked at 100 different stars using a tool called HARPS (High Accuracy Radial Velocity for Planetary Searcher) to find this one planet, said Xavier Bonfils of the Lisbon Observatory, one of the co-discoverers.

Much of the effort to find Earth-like planets has focused on stars like our sun with the challenge being to find a planet the right distance from the star it orbits. About 90 percent of the time, the European telescope focused its search more on sun-like stars, Udry said.

A few weeks before the European discovery earlier this month, a scientific paper in the journal Astrobiology theorized a few days that red dwarf stars were good candidates.

"Now we have the possibility to find many more," Bonfils said.

I got home from work about 8pm to a message from a friend, who said that Paul Valentine had mentioned us (The League) in one of his Youtube "rants." Now I am indeed familiar with Paul Valentine and his past involvement with Satanism. I was not familiar with the Youtube videos he makes. Honestly, I am not very hip to Youtube, only using it to watch Mixed Martial Arts competitions.

I normally don't watch video blogs or worry about what people have to say. However I had some free time and decided to check the link out.

The link, of course, was to a video blog of Mr.Valentine. His video blog, in which he gives his opinion on many matters in the company of his dogs eventually shifted to him ranting. Pulling out a notecard he begins by denouncing the Joy of Satan website.

After talking about the Joy of Satan, and his obvious dislike for theistic Satanists, he then mentions the League of Independent Satanists, the organization I co-founded and am currently Co-President of.

In his video blog posted on March 25th He said,

"The League...of Independent Satanists...
Are you fucking insane?" He then continues,
"Okay...You're a League...but you're independent?"
"Why Would you be part of a League...if you were independent?"
He then faux chuckled and said, "Idiot...or Idiots...anyone who is part of that."

Now automatically I know that he has never read any of our material, talked to any members or even tried to learn what the League is about.
He simply took a pot shot at our organizations name. A shallow observation indeed. Well, since he has so much difficulity in making sense of our Name, I will take this time to educate him, and save him the trouble of finding out on his own like any other rational man would do.

We are a League, which is defined in our fine English language as "an informal alliance".

We are Independent, holding alliegance to ones own pursuits as being of primary importance. We believe in the Individual before the group. As the true Individual, when choosing to ally with individuals who share a similar set of goals in the Occult world, will bring more to the organization they choose to affiliate with. More, of course, than one who is reliant on the direction of the group to guide their sense of the world around them.

We are Satanists, Individuals who stand as Adversaries to any system, theological or secular, that seeks to limit a person from reaching the fullness of their potential.

Most of us exist in this world where Satanists are few and far between. The League is for the Individual Satanists, Occultist, Secular Philosopher, Thelemite, Atheist, Agnostic, or any seeker, who is a libertine in "spirit" who believes that difference and variation are ingredients for progress.

We are a Chaos driven collection of wanderers, who by chance have all encountered each other in their journey and chose to make their passing introduction to The League's Philosophy, one of further study.

If that is too hard for Valentine to understand, if he still does not understand why we are called, The League of Independent Satanists, then he is simply a silly fucking moron.

I was then sent a second link in which he speaks of Joe Satanist, referring to him as a member of the "League of Satanist." Valentine obviously has some problem with the fact that Joe Satanist chooses to use a pseudonym. He can't seem to understand that there are some individuals who choose to not have their personal information out all over the internet. It doesn't make what Joe is saying any less relevant.

Before losing his train of thought, Valentine makes it very clear that he is displeased about something said by Joe. No doubt Joe Satanists had an eyefull of Valentine's numerous videos, and simply smelled...eh..or heard the bullshit.
Either way, it was business between Joe and Valentine, but as it is, I support Joe Satanist and his contribution to Satanism.

Paul Valentine, while it may be funny that he takes himself so seriously, what is not funny is that at one point he spoke for Satanism, representing it to the media in his typical corny, bumbling style, certainly not doing our philosophy any favors.

Funny that all this happened on April Fool's day... It seems fitting when talking about Paul Valentine.

My latest reading endeavor by the author John Norman. The World of Gor, otherwise known as "counter-earth" is a planet directly opposite of the earth, on the other side of the sun.

The world is warlike, but technologically advanced in matters of Shelter, Medicine, etc. but primitive in regard to their weaponry. With Swords, knives and axes being among the primary group of weapons used.

You are also introduced to the Priest-Kings; God-like Aliens that have technology thousands of years ahead of humans. They control everything on the planet of Gor (GOR in the Gorean tounge means "home stone".)

There is also this culture of slavery that exists, with women being the primary source of slavery.

John Norman the author has been labeled a mysoginist for his many volumes dealing with the land and people of Gor.

I started reading the story this evening and it is very entertaining. The writing style is clear and crisp, but you have to get used to how the author words certain phrases. You will also see very uncommon words used heavily.

But John Norman does a great job of making a complete civilization, with customs, culture, religion, Philosophy. This is the most enjoyable part of the book. It almost feels like you are truly learning about another civilization.

You may notice the Swastika menorah to the right. No, it isn't some weird kind of Jewish Nazi Hybrid symbol, but it is one a good friend of mine (Thamus the Chief Advocate of Germany) created upon my asking.

I have always had an affinity to the swastika. I find that despite the horrific stain on it's history, the swastika stands as a symbol of the cosmic order, it is the only symbol used and developed by several cultures at the same time. This makes it unique and special. A reminder that despite our cultural variance we are traveling on the same current of Humanity.

The Swastika and Menorah combination represents my acceptance and pride of Being Jewish while the swastika part of it reminds me of my occult roots and how it still holds up my Judaism. It is a part of who I am.

But I can tell you, as a Jew, most of us know of the true history of the swastika and find no insult in it.

Oliver:

Oliver's maternal Grandmother is an AKC registered Chihuahua, his Grandfather a AKC registered Pomeranian. Oliver's paternal side is up for debate. There are several mixed mutt dogs that could have sired Oliver. His mother is 6 pounds and his supposed father is 6.5 pounds. However two months ago Oliver began a tremendous groth spurt that has pushed him to 11.7 pounds as of today. I adopted him in August 13 and at the time he was 4 months old to the day. He also began developing spots, which you will be able to see in the below pictures. Anyway, he developed spots on his front left leg. They look like they could be a remnant of Beagle or Rat Terrier in his genetic line. Also he looks nothing like his mother in the face.
He definately does not have a chihuahua face.

So basically, I don't know what he completely is. I have all my pets Spay or Neutered, and the Vet says he may get a pound or two bigger and a tad longer but he is basically the size he will stay. Which is in the large part of the toy dog category.

I suppose I should start off telling you a little about myself.

I am a Reform Jew living in Southern Indiana, and I am the Co-President of a Satanic Organization.

...

No, really I am.

And Yes, I am a Jew, a Reform Jew by association (I was a member of the Evansville Reform Synagogue for some time.) I am Orthodox By Conversion (I converted at Ansei S'fard Orthodox Synagogue by having the Bris and Mikveh with proper witnesses.)

I am a Satanist in that I stand as a Shaitan to those Theological and Secular systems that prevent the development of the human to his or her true potential. The prevention of the developement of the person I am speaking of is in the way of theological brainwashing; irrationality, blind faith, etc. Also in the way fo the Secular by way of denial of possibilities, refusal to understand abstract concepts and a unique tunnel vision that over rationalizing something can produce.

Satanists of my stripe are usually called "Third Way Satanists" because we advocate a Satanism that is rational, skeptical, and philosophical. Satanism can be Molded to the individual, and yes, satanism can exist in personal dualities.

In religions such as Judaism, there is nothing about Satanism that would outright break any ethical codes of Humanist or Reform Judaism. It can exist well together because Satanism and Judaism share many ethical philosophical points. Satanism does not require adherence to a deity or an aesthetic style. Satanism, if done correctly, allows anyone who agrees with the philosophy to live in whatever lifestyle choice they see fit.

I choose Judaism. Why? Isn't judaism the problem? It is the first of the three big Monotheistic Faiths (Judaism, Christianity, Islam.)

My answer is no, Judaism of today is not what it was in Biblical times. As my old Rabbi used to say, "Judaism is a Rabbinic Religion not a biblical one." Of course this is coming from a Rabbi that was a Humanist, but as I am a Humanist I find no fault with his statement, and as history shows, Judaism is very much a Rabbinic religion.

Do I read Torah? Yes, but not to look for the truth or the "real story" but to pull insight from the mythology.

Do I believe in God? No. Not in the sense of the question. When most people ask if a person believes in god, they usually have either the image of Jesus in their mind or a white guy in a beard with a robe on. No, I don't believe in that god.

Now do I believe in a universal awareness, some kind of intelligence that was behind our creation?
I don't know, I won't ever know unless I somehow see him or her, which I am sure can't be done unless I am drinking bottles of some strong cough syrup, or I smoke 5 bowls of whatever Willy has stashed in his tour bus.
Since neither of those things will happen to me in this lifetime, I will be content to remain in the dark on this matter.

I do go to Temple, it is a Reform Synagogue, I used to be a full voting member of the Temple but I let my membership lapse, so now I just go.

My Children are being raised Jewish, but My family is Roman Catholic, so I have happily opened my house to celebrating many holidays. Why not? I have never understood everyone's hangup about celebrating holidays that aren't "your own." I have always thought time spent arguing about why one doesn't celebrate a holiday is time better spent having fun with your friends or family or both and at least helping them celebrate it.

Back to the Satanism thing...

You would be suprised, Satanism is not just for Satanists anymore. People are starting to actually get what we are trying to say by using all the Aesthetics Satanism offers.

Hell, we even have Christians that are members of our League. Why? Because the Rational mind, the mind that accepts Free Thought eradicates all the boundaries and blurs all lines. We create a culture of unification by acceptance of others without the need to change yourself.

I have 4 dogs. They are all Toy Breed dogs.

-Clarke is a Full Blooded Chihuahua and is 13 months old and 8.5 pounds.

-Oliver is a Chihuahua/Pomeranian/Min Pinscher/Beagle/ and Misc. mix and is 8 months old and 11.5 pounds.

-Lois is a Full Blooded Manchester Terrier, she is about 15months old and 8 pounds.

-Robin, my youngest, he is a Full Blooded American Rat Terrier and is 8 weeks old and about a pound. His parents are both about 9-10 pounds so that is probably what he will grow to be.

I would say that My Dogs are both my teachers in Philosophy and loyal companions.
I don't consider my Philosophy or Religion to be hobbies as they are such a part of who I am.

I am married with children, but I keep my family life private so you wont hear me talk about them. However know that they are most important to me. I love them all very much.
